In the words of T. Harv Eker, "The single biggest difference between financial success and financial failure is how well you manage your money. It's simple to master money, you must manage money." With that being said, how do you go from being a broke college student to a student who is financial well? My advice is this: budget, Budget, BUDGET and keep to that budget.
Have set percentages for your paychecks. This could mean 10% as a charitable donation, 10% to treat yourself, 20% for investment, 40% for school fees or any other necessities, and 20% for savings in case of emergency. Follow through.
The biggest thing that many people struggle with is having the discipline to follow through. You, however, are better than that! You do not have to be a broke college student!
What are some tips and tricks do you all have for someone who is looking to financially AND academically succeed at UMBC?
