Expedition EY aims to prepare first- or second-year students from all over the country for a career path in professional services while exploring the EY culture, offerings and opportunities.

Expedition EY is more than just a Zoom seminar or series - it's an interactive, gamified experience that brings you and the brightest and most diverse college students together nationwide. What to expect
Students will have the flexibility to select and complete on-demand learnings and tasks or attend optional live virtual sessions - all at their own pace. As you select your personalized learning and upskilling expedition, you'll unlock additional opportunities to participate in career and leadership development activities, as well as team-building exercises that will put you on a path to a career adventure unlike any other. You'll engage with our unique people culture, which celebrates inclusiveness, diversity of thought and the global mindset you'll need to thrive on teams.
To Qualify
Because of EY's desire to attract diverse students, students who identify as Black, Latinx, Native American, or who identify as female, trans or nonbinary are strongly encouraged to apply to Expedition EY Technology.
Expedition EY Technology:
Be three or more years away from graduation
Intend to pursue a degree in a technology-related field (such as Analytics, \Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or Management Information Systems)

Our interns write real software and collaborate with a select group of experienced software development engineers (SDEs) who guide interns on projects that matter to our customers.
Our 12-week internship programs provide hands-on learning and building experiences for students who are interested in a career in software engineering. In addition to working on an impactful project, you will have the opportunity to engage with Amazonians for both personal and professional development, expand your network, and participate in activities with other interns throughout your internship. By applying to early career internship opportunities in Software Engineering, you will automatically be considered for two internship programs:
Lab Engineer Accelerator Program (LEAP) Internship Program:
The LEAP Internship Program offers hands-on software development experience to students who are making an early commitment to computer science careers.
- Similar to a traditional Software Development Engineering (SDE) internship, LEAP interns will spend 12-weeks at Amazon working on individual projects that are impactful to their business with the support of a manager and mentor.
Amazon Propel Program (APP) Internship Program:
APP offers hands-on software development experience to students who have an interest in software development.
- You will spend 12 weeks at Amazon, with the first 4 weeks in a hands-on SDE bootcamp, learning how to solve sample Amazon problems. You will spend the next 8 weeks working on technical projects with support of a manager and mentor.
Upon successful completion of the internship program, interns may receive a full-time or return intern offer to become a Software Development Engineer starting in 2022.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Computer Science or related STEM discipline
- Knowledge of the syntax of languages such as Java, C/C++ or Python
- Knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals, such as object-oriented design, algorithm design, data structures, problem solving, and complexity analysis

UMBC Spring 2021 Virtual Career & Internship Fair
UMBC’s
Spring 2021 Virtual Career & Internship Fair is only a week and half away, Friday, Feb. 5. We want to make sure you are registered, prepared, and comfortable with this virtual format prior to the day of the fair so you can make the most of your time connecting with employers over live group chat and video.
WHY SHOULD YOU REGISTER TODAY?
The
registration process will give you the opportunity to complete your profile and upload your resume. Employers will be able to search candidates based on the information provided on this registration form prior to and during the fair.
Registered students will have early access to view attending organizations, review their job opportunities and schedule 1:1 chats starting Monday, Feb. 1.
WHAT WILL I NEED TO COMPLETE THE REGISTRATION PROFILE?
You will want to have a current resume to upload to your profile. You can also upload a profile picture and provide the link for your LinkedIn Profile.

A virtual resume review appointment can be made with a Career Center staff member by clicking the “Schedule Appointment” button on your UMBCworks home page. Next, select a 30- or 60-minute full resume review, OR a 15-minute Express Resume/Cover Letter Review (available Monday-Friday, 2-4 p.m.).
