Welcome and First General Body Meeting Information!
Hey Pre-Pharmer’s!
We hope the beginning of your semester is going well! We are excited to invite you back for another fun-filled year with the Pre-Pharmacy Society! Please scroll all the way down to read everything, as it is all important!
This year, we will have fundraisers, volunteer opportunities, and visits from pharmacy schools, so make sure to come out! Additionally, we will be offering a mentorship program with our E-Board, as well as mock interviews to help our pharmacy school applicants boost their confidence. If you know anyone interested in pharmacy, bring them too!
Meetings will be held on Mondays at 12pm on WebEx (with a few in-person). The Webex link will be sent out prior to the meetings, and it will also be in our Instagram bio @umbcprepharmacysociety! Below is picture with our GBM dates all in one place for your convenience.
However, our first meeting will be IN-PERSON. Join us for a mini-involvement fest and get to know our E-board face-to-face! Stay tuned for more info regarding time and place!

Virtual Info Session
Dear Pre Occupational
Therapy student,
If you're interested in
one of ATSU's OT programs, we highly recommend
attending a "virtual" Information Session, held at
2:30 pm MST. Click here to
select a day.
Each session is
identical which will cover the application process and the curriculum for
both the Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT)
and the Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD)
program.
Following the
presentation, current students will answer your questions!
Registration for
all events are free, however, it is required by selecting a date found here.
Once you've registered, a Zoom link to join the session will be
e-mailed a few days before the event.

PAEA Program Directory
Hi everyone. I just received this message from the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA):

PAEA is very excited to announce the launch of our new
and improved PAEA Program Directory. The
directory has a map view or a list view, allowing applicants to view the
geographical span of our PA programs across the country. We've included
advance filtering options such as GRE requirement, veteran support, minimum
GPA, etc. In an effort to help our students, especially our students who
are traditionally Underrepresented in Medicine, find support and belonging
in the program they choose, we've added fields for each program such as:
- Supplemental
Fee Waiver
- Program
Matriculants by Gender
- Program
Matriculants by Ethnicity
- Required
Onsite Interview
- Virtual
Experience Hours Accepted
The 2022-23 CASPA Application Cycle will launch on April
28, 2022, and we are confident that the Directory will prove to be a useful
tool for both advisors and students interested in learning more about our
PA programs and preparing for the upcoming cycles. In addition, we have
increased our fee waiver allotment to include both the first and second
designation an applicant applies to. Instead of just covering the initial
$179 fee, the waiver will now cover the initial $179 + $56 = $235 total.
I've included an infographic that has more information about this process
and how it is different from the previous waiver program.
We are very excited about these changes and the impact they will
potentially have on our applicants! If you have any questions, please feel
