The UMB School of Pharmaceutical Sciences is about to launch a NEW M.S. Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences this Fall 2019.  This program can be completed in just 16 months and integrates basic and applied pharmaceutical sciences with hands-on laboratory research experience.  No GRE is required for admission. The biopharmaceutical internship provides students with direct access to potential future employers in industry and government agencies.

The Summer 2019 Orientation season is approaching and the Office for Academic and Pre-Professional Advising is looking for new members to join its team of orientation advisors! 

 Faculty, staff and graduate students are invited to apply. 

Graduate students and 9½-month faculty members will receive up to $100.00 per session.

12-month faculty members' compensations will be sent to their departments.

Staff members are not eligible to receive additional compensation, but they will have an opportunity to improve their advising competencies, work with a diverse body of students, and enhance their leadership and interpersonal skills.  

Comprehensive training will be provided for all orientation advisors on June 4 and 5.

We need to put in our orders as soon as possible so please respond soon. You will be required to pay in advance for any shirt or cord orders. Photos of each can be found in the link. Shirts are $15 each (you may buy as many as you would like if you want an extra for family or friends) and cords are $7 each.


Please either Venmo the money to Han @nguhan1 or bring the appropriate amount of money, in cash, to our meeting on Monday, April 30th. We will not take orders after Monday, April 30th because we want to make sure the shirts and cords get to you in time!

Unfortunately, the semester is ending but we have the great opportunity to enjoy the democratic process and run or vote for office! All members have the opportunity to run for any position of which they choose (and as many as they want). If you are interested in running for an officer position please select what you would like to run for.

Thanks to all of you for your membership to the society this semester. It had come such a long way thanks to all of your continued participation and help! As a student based organization, it is our goal to make sure you feel like the Pre-PA society holds stimulating, informational meetings, and that you feel a sense of personal involvement with your other Pre-PA classmates and colleagues.

 

Last semester we asked that you take just a few minutes to fill out a feedback survey about the Pre-PA society. This feedback survey is completely anonymous and not mandated by the university but something we have created so that we can best provide you with what you are looking for during our meetings or events.
