Responding to Sexual Assault & Relationship Violence at UMBC
A Training for Faculty & Staff
UMBC faculty and staff are invited to this one hour training session to learn about the Voices Against Violence (VAV) Program, as well as the update reporting guidelines for incidents of relationship violence, sexual assault, etc.
At the end of this session, participants will be able to clearly identify the University's protocol for responding to and reporting incidents of relationship violence, sexual assault, etc. on UMBC's campus; understand the steps a faculty or staff member must take when reporting such an incident; comprehend the importance of reporting this information, both for the victim/survivor, as well as the University; clearly recognize the role and members of the Sexual Assault and Relationship Violence Response Team (SARVRT); and be familiar with on and off campus resources for victims and survivors of violence.
Presenters: Jennifer K. Lepus and Alison Rohrbach, UHS
