GAAC Town Hall 3 (Spring 2013)
Town Hall on Tuition Remission and Fees
Tuesday, May 14, 2013 · Noon - 1 PM
The Graduate Assistant Advisory Committee (GAAC) is tasked with meeting with the administration to discuss Graduate Assistant (GA) employment concerns once a semester. In order to adequately represent GA's the GAAC is hosting this town hall with a two-fold purpose. First there will be a 15 minute presentation on the current state of graduate tuition remission and student fees. Second there will be open forum for GA's to address any and all questions or concerns they may have (about any employment issues) to members of the GAAC.
This is very important! Please click "I can attend" the event if you will be attending so we can plan on how much food we will need to order.
This is a town hall style presentation and discussion open to all Graduate Assistants (Teacher, Research, and Administrative Assistants) to inform and discuss with GA employment concerns.
At this town hall we will discuss the current policies on GA tuition remission and graduate student fees. We will also open the floor to all questions and concerns about any other GA employment issues.
This is the third GAAC town hall; the first two introduced the GAAC and discussed GA healthcare respectively. This town hall will focus on introducing GA's to a particular issue that the GAAC wants to discuss with the administration this summer.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding your personal situation involving tuition remission/fees feel free to contact the GAAC at GAAChotline@lists.umbc.edu
