Are you interested in obtaining teaching experience with guidance from a faculty mentor, and getting paid for it?
Participation in the
PROF-it “Professors-in-Training” program provides graduate students at UMBC
with an opportunity to draw upon the partnership between UMBC and the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) to teach a class
at one of the campuses of CCBC for the FALL 2013 semester.
You will be mentored by a faculty member from CCBC, and will be required to attend additional training sessions during the semester. Please make sure that your Advisor and/or your Graduate Program Director are aware that you are applying for this Fellows program. Time commitment may vary from class to class, but be prepared to spend at least 3 hours of preparation per one hour of class time. If accepted, you will be added to CCBC’s payroll and will receive a stipend of $2000.
