<Title>AI4ALL opportunity in AI &amp; Career-Readiness for undergrads!</Title>

    <div>UMBC and nonprofit <a href="https://ai-4-all.org/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo"><strong>AI4ALL</strong></a> have partnered to offer undergraduate students in any major the opportunity to apply to the <strong>Discover AI program, </strong><span>which will take place during the Fall 2023 semester</span>.  Programming experience is not required.<span> </span><span>The ten-week program starts on <span><strong>September</strong></span></span><strong> <span>29</span></strong><span> and includes synchronous meetings on Fridays from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. and asynchronous instruction.     <p><span><br></span></p>Discover AI is a virtual project-based program in partnership with UMBC that offers a hands-on introduction to computer science and artificial intelligence (AI), ethical issues surrounding AI implementation, and tech careers. In Discover AI, students work in groups on an AI/Machine Learning project based on real-life applications of AI that the students find curious.<br></span></div>

The Viola da Gamba is particularly fun for guitarists and string players to learn, though anyone with musical experience can join us. Come get a different perspective on history through hands-on performance!</div>

    <strong>Paul Ocone INDS Fall 2022 INDS B.A.: Anime and Manga Studies,</strong> is the recent recipient of <strong><u>UMBC 2023-2024 Prestigious Fulbright U.S. Student Award.</u></strong> The Fulbright Program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government and is designed to build lasting connections between the people of the United States and the people of other countries. <div><br></div>
    <div>Ocone will be conducting 'Otaku (anime/manga fandom) research at <strong>Meiji University School of Global Japanese Studies in Japan.</strong><strong> </strong>He will have the opportunity to further his research with Professor Kaichiro Morikawa<strong>,</strong> an associate professor at Meiji University and author of: Otaku: persona = space = city. </div>

<Title>Join the UMBC Choral Program!</Title>

    <div>Are you interested in singing at UMBC? We have three choirs at UMBC (Jubilee Singers, Gospel Choir, and Camerata). We welcome singers from all vocal styles and experience levels. The UMBC Choirs are a great way to build community, make friends, and experience excellent music making. All the choirs rehearse and perform in <a href="https://kuula.co/share/collection/7PvDl?fs=1&amp;vr=0&amp;zoom=1&amp;sd=1&amp;autorotate=-0.13&amp;thumbs=1&amp;margin=13&amp;chromeless=0&amp;logo=1&amp;logosize=195" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Linehan Concert Hall</a>, count for course credit, and perform at various UMBC events.</div>

    <div>Placement auditions for Jubilee Singers and Camerata will be administered during the first two weeks of class. Please sign up for a time slot <a href="https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0849ADAB29A5FBC34-umbc" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">here</a>. Interested singers are also welcome to any rehearsal during the first two weeks, and will be asked to complete a placement hearing immediately after rehearsal.</div>
