    <div class="html-content"><br>The <a href="http://dreshercenter.umbc.edu/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Dresher Center for the Humanities</a> has just announced their Residential Graduate Student Research Fellows for Fall 2016. The fellowship is intended to support promising research by graduate students in the humanities.<br><br>We are happy to share the news that Jessica Floyd (Cohort 16) has been chosen a Dresher fellow for Fall 2016. Jessica's project is called <em>"Jibooms, Barrels, and Arseholes: Singing Sex in Sea Chanteys.” </em>Her advisors are Dr. Christine Mallinson (LLC) and Dr. Amy Froide (History).<br><br>Also, Kelly Daughtridge, from the Historical Studies M.A. program, has been selected for this fellowship with her project: <em>“Defining their Past and Immortalizing their Future: Women’s Monuments in Early Modern England”</em><br>Advisor: Dr. Amy Froide<br><br>Congratulations Jessica!<br></div>
