CFP: 38th Graduate Research Conference at UMBC Deadline Extended: February 14th
The 38th Annual Graduate Research Conference (GRC) will be held on March 23, 2016. The GRC is a collaborative effort of the Graduate Student Association (GSA), the Office of Graduate Student Life (OGSL), and the GSA Senate. The 2016 GRC is a campus wide event which provides a platform for graduate students, across all disciplines, to come together to share their research, network professionally, and engage in intellectual discussions on a multifarious scale. For the first time, GRC will have a three-minute thesis competition (3MT), to know more about 3MT please visit http://threeminutethesis.org/.

The FINAL DEADLINE to submit abstract for the Graduate Research Conference on March 23rd, 2016 is February 14th, 2016 at 11:59 pm.

We invite all disciplines/programs, such as Engineering & Information Technology, Humanities & Arts, Natural Sciences & Mathematics, and Social Sciences & Education. GRC is looking for a variety of presenters from IMDA to System Engineering . We urge you to use this opportunity to complete your volunteer requirement if you received any research or travel grants from GSA.

The 38th Annual Graduate Research Conference (GRC) will be held on March 23, 2016. The GRC is a collaborative effort of the Graduate Student Association (GSA), the Office of Graduate Student Life (OGSL), and the GSA Senate. The 2016 GRC is a campus wide event which provides a platform for graduate students, across all disciplines, to come together to share their research, network professionally, and engage in intellectual discussions on a multifarious scale. For the first time, GRC will have a three-minute thesis competition (3MT), to know more about 3MT please visit http://threeminutethesis.org/.

This year’s conference will also feature a keynote panel, professional development workshop, research information fair, and a three minute thesis competition.

All graduate students at any stage of their graduate work are invited to deliver their oral presentation, poster presentation, artist talk, performance and media presentation, or work in progress. All presentation formats are welcome!

The abstract submission deadline is January 22, 2016.

We invite the Language, Literacy, and Culture community to attend the 37th annual Graduate Research Conference (GRC) on March 25th, 2015. As you know, the GRC is an opportunity for graduate students to share their research with the UMBC community. We are thrilled that nine LLCers are going to present their papers and works in progress during this all-day event. A special mention goes to doctoral candidate Romy Hübler, who serves as the GRC committee chair. Also, Inte’a DeShields contributed to the GRC while working at the GSA.
