     and guest-edited by Mari Ramler (Tennessee Tech) and Dan Frank (UC Santa 
    Barbara). This Pop Up celebrates the hard work, creativity, flexibility 
    and heart of instructors, administrators and students during the spring

Mellon Foundation</a>. Building on 15 years as editor of <em><a href="http://kairos.technorhetoric.net" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Kairos: A Journal of Rhetoric, Technology, and Pedagogy,</a></em> Dr. Ball will discuss how publishing multimedia scholarship requires different kinds of infrastructure than scholars, editors, and publishers are used to with print-based publishing. Vega incorporates newer publishing processes, such as collaborative authoring, open peer review, and design editing, as well as newer products, such as media-rich articles and data sets.</div><div><br></div><div>Ball will talk about the opportunities and challenges of composing, editing, publishing, and evaluating scholarship in the 21st century, primarily when it takes nontraditional, digital forms.</div><div><br></div><div><a href="http://ceball.com" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Cheryl E. Ball</a> is Associate Professor of Digital Publishing Studies at West Virginia University. Vega incorporates newer publishing processes, such as collaborative authoring, open peer review, and design editing, as well as newer products, such as media-rich articles and data sets.</div><div><br></div><div>Ball will talk about the opportunities and challenges of composing, editing, publishing, and evaluating scholarship in the 21st century, primarily when it takes nontraditional, digital forms.</div><div><br></div><div><a href="http://ceball.com" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Cheryl E. Ball</a> is Associate Professor of Digital Publishing Studies at West Virginia University.
