Congratulations to our faculty and alumni The UMBC Presidential Awards  go to selected faculty and staff who have enormously contributed with their work and ideas to the university.

We want to congratulate LLC Steering Committee member Dr. Michelle Scott,and LLC alumni  Dr. Brian V. Souders '09 and  Dr. David Hoffman '13 who will be honored in the awards ceremony.

Dr. Scott will be honored with the  2015–2018 Presidential Teaching Faculty Award and the 2015 University System of Maryland Board of Regents’ Award for Excellence in Mentoring

Dr. Hoffman will receive the  2013-2014 University System of Maryland Board of Regents’ Staff Award for Exceptional Contribution to the Mission of UMBC (Professional Staff)

Dr. Souders will be given the  Jakubik Family Endowment Staff Award 2014–2015

The Presidential Faculty & Staff Awards ceremony will be on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at the University Center Ballroom, 12 - 1 pm. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
