Learn more about the conference at the <a href="http://bit.ly/1ZYMScy" rel="nofollow external" class="bo"><strong>website</strong></a> <br><br>The 2016 SLCE conference will be held on Saturday, April 2nd at the Universities at Shady Grove<br><br><br><strong>Call for Proposals</strong><br><br>The Service-Learning and Civic Engagement Conference is requesting proposals for workshops and posters. We are looking for excited and passionate individuals who are doing service-learning and civic engagement work in their communities and classes. Please share your experiences and help us collectively to develop more robust service-learning and civic engagement programs at every level throughout our communities.<br>Please frame your proposal around one of the four main themes we are focusing on for <em>SLCE 2016: Community Partnerships, Social Change Leadership, Academic Service-Learning, and Civic and Community Engagement.</em> More information on how to apply is on the <strong><a href="http://bit.ly/1RACerd" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">application form</a></strong>. <br><br><em><u>Please note that proposals are due Monday, February 8, 2016 at 11:55pm.</u></em><br><br><strong>Call for Award Nominations</strong><br><br>At the SLCE Conference, we also take the time to recognize individuals who have had an outstanding impact on or contribution to service-learning and civic engagement in higher education. Students, faculty, staff and community partners may submit nominations, and self-nominations are also accepted for all award categories. Submit nominations through our online form by Sunday, January 31, 2016 at 11:55pm. Registration for all community partners is just $25. Registration includes access to all events as well as breakfast, lunch, and a dessert reception</div>
