Open House: Planetary Atmospheres
Learn about planetary atmospheres and tour our facility!

The Earth has a nitrogen and oxygen rich atmosphere. Our neighbors have (on one side) a thick carbon-dioxide atmosphere, with clouds of sulfuric acid and (on the other side), almost no atmosphere at all!
Further out, these planets are (near as we can tell) ONLY atmospheres with all of their hydrogen-rich gasses contributing to almost 1% of the mass of the solar system!
Why all of this diversity? Is it really that diverse? What can we tell about planetary atmospheres on other planets and bodies?
