<Title>Do You Still Need to Register For Spring Classes?</Title>

    <div class="html-content">All students must meet with an advisor to receive registration clearance for spring classes. Please read the instructions below for information about how to sign up for your advising appointment. There are different instructions depending on whether you have completed the gateway requirements for your major. Please read through this entire message.<br><br>If you are currently enrolled in LRC 99, MATH 106, or do not have a math placement, you will be advised by the Office of Academic and Pre-Professional Advising in the Academic Services Building.<br><br><strong>Computer Engineering and Computer Science</strong><br>Students majoring in Pre-Computer Science/Computer Science, Pre-Computer Engineering/Computer Engineering who <u>have not completed the gateway requirements</u> must meet with an academic advisor in the office of Undergraduate Student Services in the College of Engineering and Information Technology.  Location:  ITE Building Rooms 202-206.  Phone:  410-455-3096.  Advising staff:  Josh Abrams (<a href="mailto:josh.abrams@umbc.edu">josh.abrams@umbc.edu</a>), Anne Arey (<a href="mailto:annearey@umbc.edu">annearey@umbc.edu</a>), and Emily Stephens (<a href="mailto:eastephe@umbc.edu">eastephe@umbc.edu</a>).     <div class="html-content">It is time to start preparing for Spring 2016 registration. All students must meet with an advisor to receive registration clearance for spring classes. Your registration date will be posted in myUMBC at the top of the page. In order to register on this date, you must meet with an advisor prior to this date to get registration clearance. Students do not need special clearance to register for winter classes. Winter registration opens for all students on October 26th.<br><br><strong>Please read the instructions below for information about how to sign up for your advising appointment.     <div class="html-content">Generac Industrial Power is bringing their “Power Trip Experience” to the UMBC campus. The Generac tractor trailer that will provide the demonstration/learning experience is set up as a small classroom (16-seats) with hands-on demonstrations of generator operations. Interested students and faculty are welcome to attend.<br><br>The demonstration will simulate a power outage; demonstrate parallel generator operation and control; explain software capabilities for monitoring and control; explain features of the 600 kW bi-fuel generator (natural gas and diesel fuel); and provide an overview of power solutions available from Generac.<br><br><strong>The demonstration will occur on Friday, October 30, 2015, in Lot 26 behind the TRC Building. The Generac tractor trailer is scheduled to arrive at 12:30 PM. A second demonstration will take place at 1:30pm.</strong><br></div>

Your registration date will be posted in myUMBC at the top of the page. In order to register on this date, you must meet with an advisor prior to this date to get registration clearance. Students do not need special clearance to register for winter classes. Winter registration opens for all students on October 26th.<br><br><strong>Please read the instructions below for information about how to sign up for your advising appointment.
