Creative Writing Club General Elections Have Arrived
Creative Writing Club is hosting its first general body elections for the next school year's officer positions, and we'd be so excited to have any interested members play a part in that. Whether putting your name on the ballot (starting today in the provided google form), or waiting until next week when votes may be placed in, your participation absolutely matters. This may be the club's first year, and meetings may have been small, but we want to steadily expand by starting with a strong club officer front!

Meeting this week, prompt, and important announcement
Upcoming meetings and the end of the Fall semester
Hello writers,
This week we shall meet in PAHB 123 at the appointed hour of noon to 1 on Friday. It is the penultimate meeting of the semester, for the week after this shall see the final meeting of our club for the fall semester.
For this week's prompt, as we approach final exams or papers and the end of the semester, think of such a situation: the boss level, the showdown at high noon, the final battle, etc. Describe the scene or situation in great detail, place, people, other elements, and let it unfold. You may resolve the conflict wholly or partially, but it must be the climax of the story you are telling, even though we are not getting all the events leading up to it. It must be clear, from the way it is written, that this is the height of the plot's action.

Hello writers,
Our intrepid president will be out of town this week. This has necessitated that this week's meeting be held in the Math & Psychology building room 102, from 1 to 2 pm this Friday (tomorrow), instead of our normal meeting place and time.
The prompt for this week is: Describe a holiday, respite, or break of some kind. It can be a real one or one you make up. You can explore what it is, who participates in it, why it exists, and so on.

Weekly meeting today and plan for next week
Good morning,
Today we have our usual meeting from noon to 1pm in PAHB 123, so be sure to join your fellow writers if you can!
Next week, due to unique circumstances, the meeting cannot be held from noon to 1pm. Right now, the plan is to meet from 11am to noon in PAHB 123. However, this may need to be changed pending further discussion among club officers, so look for updates.

We will be continuing to hold in-person meetings in PAHB 123 on Fridays at noon, so we hope to see you there this week.
We are also letting it be known that prompt suggestions are always welcome from the entire group, since it's a great way to bring fresh ideas to the table! The same still goes for any writing pieces you'd like to have workshopped, as we'll be sure to work out time to give constructive critiques.
