]]>PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The primary purpose of the internship will be to expose this individual to the building of a new strategy around Enterprise Data Management and then work on specific projects, innovative ideas to move the strategy forward. These ideas might include business analytics, data integration, building data stores, working with vendors of key data management products. The intern will help move this strategy forward presenting new ideas and proving out specific pilot programs.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
*Work on the Data Management framework and understand strategy building the Data Management capabilities
*Work specifically on integrating data from various sources into a ‘Data Sandbox’
*Work with business intelligence tools like Spotfire, Tableau, Business Objects to produce analytical reports
*Work with vendors on their product offerings on data quality, data services, data protection and privacy etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
*Sophomore status in college with a 3.0 or higher GPA required
*Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
*Classes or experience focused on Data Management, Business Intelligence, Data Archiving/Retention, Data Governance, Metadata, Master Data, Data Quality, Data Architecture etc.
*Strong written and verbal communication skills
*Ability to work in team setting
*Highly motivated and goal oriented
*Strong Analytical background- possibly Engineering
