    <div class="html-content">
<div>The St. Paul’s Schools is pleased to announce an opening for a full-time middle school math teacher in grades 5-8 at St. Paul’s School for Girls for the 2022-2023 school year.</div>
    <div><br></div>
    <div><strong>School Overview </strong></div>
<div>The St. Paul’s Schools is a family of independent schools located in Brooklandville, Maryland. With more than 1,400 students from ages 6 weeks to grade 12, St. Paul’s Pre and Lower School (coed), St. Paul’s School for Girls, and St. Paul’s School for Boys share a 120-acre campus, an Episcopal</div>
<div>affiliation, and a focus on developing confident, well balanced students who will use their education to improve the world. In July 2018, the schools unified under the umbrella of The St. Paul's Schools, with a single board of trustees and one president, but each school retains its individual traditions and</div>
<div>its gender-specific programs. A coordinated structure allows The St. Paul’s Schools to preserve the small-school feel within each school while sharing resources and certain programs to maximize opportunities for students. With St. Paul’s unique model, boys and girls are taught together and separately at just the right times in their development. Specifically, St. Paul's School for Girls has over 430 girls in grades 5-12. St. Paul’s School for Girls educates hearts and minds in an inclusive community that is grounded in the Episcopal values of respect, integrity, and spiritual growth. We empower voice, nurture intellectual curiosity and creativity, and inspire confident leaders who serve in the world.</div>
    <div><br></div>
    <div><strong>Position Description</strong></div>
<div>The successful candidate will be a creative, passionate, and experienced middle school math teacher (grades 5-8) with a strong educational background. This person should engage and inspire students. The primary responsibilities of this teacher will be to craft a creative and rigorous project-based curriculum that inspires a love for learning and critical thinking, and to create a classroom environment where students are seen and heard, and feel comfortable taking healthy risks.</div>
    <div><br></div>
<div>This candidate will work with math department to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills, collaborate with our learning services team on students with learning needs and work with our academic technology team and department chairs to create an innovative, creative and technology based classroom environment.</div>
    <div><br></div>
<div>As part of this role, we would consider an opportunity for math department chair leadership. In this role, you would help create and structure curriculum in grades 5-12, mentor math department team members, help with hiring new faculty, participate in math team evaluations and sit on our academic council as we look at curriculum changes and developments in the future.</div>
    <div><br></div>
<div>In addition to teaching, full-time faculty members serve as student advisors, mentor clubs, and contribute in other significant ways to the work of the community. We are especially interested in candidates with coaching experience and/or those who can demonstrate initiative and serve as coaches in a variety of significant ways outside of the classroom. Other supervisory responsibilities and duties are shared among faculty members.</div>
    <div><br></div>
<div>The St. Paul’s Schools are committed to creating a supportive learning environment where all individuals are valued for their unique contributions and are able to achieve their highest potential.</div>
    <div><br></div>
<div>We strongly believe that a diverse and inclusive environment is the best learning environment for our students and prepares them to live, work, and thrive in an increasingly global and multicultural community. We reject all prejudice, particularly those based on race, national and ethnic origin, religion, socioeconomic status, gender identity, sexual orientation, and physical characteristics. </div>
    <div><br></div>
<div>As you know, COVID-19 has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. While COVID-19 is highly contagious, the School is taking precautions and implementing safety measures to prevent the spread. All members of the School community have a shared responsibility to support and comply with policies and protocols to protect the health and safety of our community. As an additional mitigation measure and to further aid in preventing the spread of COVID-19, the School is requiring all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. All employees who intend to be employed at The St. Paul’s Schools for the 2022-2023 school year will be required to provide documentation demonstrating that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Any employees who begin work with the School from July 1, 2022 onward will be required to provide documentation demonstrating that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 within 60 days of their start date, unless they have been granted an exemption to this policy as an accommodation.</div>
    <div><br></div>
<div>Full-time employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits program which includes, but is not limited to, medical, dental, vision, disability and 403(b). Other supplemental benefits include free lunch, fitness center and tuition remission. Salary is commensurate with experience.</div>
<div>Interested candidates can send their cover letter, resume and list of references to Shannon Duckett, Director of Human Resources, at <a href="mailto:sduckett@stpaulsmd.org">sduckett@stpaulsmd.org</a>. The St. Paul’s Schools is an equal opportunity employer.</div>
