<Title>Apply to develop external proposals with Hanover Research</Title>

    <div class="html-content"><p>AOK Library &amp; Gallery Spotlight! Guest Instructor Series will be hosting a public symposium throughout the Fall 2021 semester examining the topic of radicalism. The aim of the symposium is not to declare a definitive definition of radicalism but to offer a regional and historical context to the term. The inspiration for the theme is the Library’s Special Collections’ Radical Literature and Alternative Press Center collections.  <br><br>Exact dates for the lectures and how to register can be found on the flier below and link. Panelists included Dr. Freeman Hrabowski, Dr. Diane Lee,Tom Moore, Brett McKenzie, ‘04, and Karim Said, ‘04, ‘07, ‘13.     Rockville and Baltimore offices provide unique educational and
    professional development opportunities for students. In addition to general
    office responsibilities, primary responsibilities of interns include:</span></p><p><strong><span>Capitol Hill:</span></strong><span> supporting constituent
    correspondence by mail and phone, attending hearings and
    briefings, researching legislation and policy initiatives, composing
    press releases, compiling media clips, and drafting memos for staff and
    the Senator. </span></p><p><strong><span>Rockville/Baltimore:</span></strong><span> assisting with phone calls,
    supporting constituent casework, drafting correspondence to constituents and
    federal agencies, and attending community events, meetings, and briefings, and
    drafting memos for staff and the Senator. </span></p><p><span>This position
    provides an opportunity to be part of a hard-working cohesive team, to make a
    difference in the lives of others, and to increase one’s understanding of the
    operations of government agencies and the U.S. Congress. <strong> Interns

    for a summer internship, <strong>you must be a rising college sophomore or older
    and available to work full-time for the duration of one of the two

    Capitol Hill offers many advantages, it also greatly increases the demand for
    internship positions. While we endeavor to offer as many positions as we can,
    please understand that the process is very competitive. Our application process

    Delegate Nicole A. Williams, Esq., a Democrat representing District 22 in
    Prince George’s County, seeks a part-time fall semester legislative intern.
    This is a virtual/remote internship. </span></p><p><span><br></span></p><p><span>Hours are flexible, but candidates who can
    commit at least 16 hours per week are preferred. </span></p><p><span><br></span></p><p><span>The internship is unpaid, but
    <strong>the fall intern will receive priority consideration for a paid January-April
    internship </strong>when the General Assembly is in session in Annapolis (which may or

    <div class="html-content">Crossposting from SWSA, but all majors are welcome!<div><br></div><div>--------------------------------</div><div><br></div><div><span>This September 15 from 12 - 1, join us for our opening SWSA meeting this fall with speaker Simone Kolysh, MPH, PhD, author of Everyday Violence: The Public Harassment of Women and LGBTQ People. </span><div><br></div><div>We'll be introducing the new board for 2021-2022, sharing our goals, and connecting in order to support each other and accomplish the social justice and care-oriented goals of Social Work. We will also be hosting speech and discussion with Dr. Kolysh.</div><div><br></div><div>Simone Kolysh, MPH, PhD, Assistant Professor of Sociology at Hood College, is a lesbian agender mother of four and a feminist scholar of race, gender, and sexuality committed to a revolutionary future. Their background in Biology, Public Health, LGBTQ studies, and Sociology aids their interdisciplinary work and scholar-activism.
