<Title>Women's Center End of the Semester Hours!</Title>

    <div class="html-content">As the semester comes to a close, our hours will be slightly altered. On Study Day,<strong> December 11th, we will be closing at 5pm</strong>. Throughout the rest of finals week, on days we close at 6pm (Mon-Thurs) we will now be closing at 5pm. <div><br></div><div>Beginning, December 19th, the Women's Center will be closed until our January 2020 hours begin. <br><div><br></div><div>Community members needing access to the lactation room should contact staff via <a href="mailto:womenscenter@umbc.edu">womenscenter@umbc.edu</a> and/or see the instructions provided to you via the email received when you signed up for room reservations to see how to access the Women's Center when we're closed.<div></div></div><div><br></div><div>Happy holidays and good luck on your finals!</div></div></div>

<Title>Giving Tuesday &amp; Alternative Spring Break</Title>

    <div class="html-content"><p>This Giving Tuesday, will you help support 36 UMBC students who will spend Spring Break 2020 exploring social challenges and potential solutions in Baltimore?</p><p>Alternative Spring Break (ASB) participants work with nonprofits, city governments, community organizers, residents, and activists. They develop a new sense of the human-scale impacts and dimensions of abstract, systemic issues: seeing the impacts on the people affected, and understanding a variety of perspectives on th<span>e problem. In addition, they develop skills that help them reflect on experiences; share, solicit, and make use of stories; build community; work in partnerships; and analyze approaches to problem-solving to identify what works, and what else is possible.</span></p><div><p>All UMBC ASB experiences are designed and led by students with support from the Center for Democracy and Civic Life. Please consider donating and helping us spread the word.     <div class="html-content"><p>The Women’s Center is pleased to introduce Bri Gumbs, pronouns she/her/hers, as our full-time program coordinator and the newest addition to the Women’s Center professional staff team! Please help us give the warmest of UMBC welcomes to Bri! Below is a short bio so you can learn a little bit about the newest member of our team! Born and raised in San Diego, CA Bri has devoted her work to being an educator, femtor and advocate for increasing and improving access, representation and retention for students with underrepresented identities in higher education by using an intersectional feminist framework. The revolutionary work of Audre Lorde, The Combahee River Collective, Marsha P, Silvia Rivera and Gloria Anzaldua continues to inspire and motivate her to be an agent of change. Bri hopes to empower others to speak their truth, mobilize and cultivate community care and joy in their various communities. Bri loves her two cats and her extensive hat collection! Bri expresses her truth through zine making, personal narratives, affirmations and through the various community programs she continues to create and facilitate. Bri holds a B.A in Psychology with a minor in Counseling and Social Change and a M.A in Student Affairs.  </p></div>

<Title>CFP: Dresher Center Summer Faculty Research Fellowship</Title>

    <div class="html-content"><p>The Dresher Center for the Humanities and the College of Arts, 
    Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS) invites applications for Summer 
    Faculty Research Fellowships (SFRF). Funding is intended to support and 
    promote significant humanities research at UMBC. <span>Proposals
     are welcome and will be considered from all full-time, tenured or 
    tenure-track UMBC faculty pursuing humanities research in the College of
     Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. Proposals will be reviewed by 
    the Dresher Center Advisory Board.</span></p>
    <p>Dresher Center Summer Faculty Research Fellows (individuals or 
    groups) will receive $6,000 support for summer research and assistance 
    in developing extramural funding applications, book proposals, and grant
     project applications. Funding may also be used for the completion of 
    book manuscripts, major articles, or projects of a similar stature. 
    Between one and three fellowships will be awarded.</p><div><h6>
