Model UN Fall Team Application Live Now; Due 9/16

<Tagline>Interest Meeting Wednesday September 14th 12pm PUP 206</Tagline>

Have you heard of Model UN? We attend at least one conference a semester where we simulate the activities of the organs and agencies of the UN! In essence, we wear suits and negotiate with thousands of other students from around the nation (and the world) in order to "resolve" global issues while inhabiting the perspective of our assigned country! It's a ton of fun, can be taken as a "class" for an upper level POLI credit, and looks great on a resume! While this attracts a lot of interest from Poli Sci majors, we've had LOTS of non-related majors on our teams in the past, so please encourage your non-Poli Sci friends to join the club/team as well. We love newcomers!!

If you'd like to learn more, our next (and final) interest meeting is this Wednesday (9/14) at 12pm in PUP206. WE WILL HAVE LOTS OF DONUTS!!!!

UMBC's Model UN Club and Team is ready for a great semester! We've seen lots of interest in our fall team, which will be attending NMUN DC from November 4th-6th. We wanted to forward the team application to anyone else who may not have heard of Model UN yet. The application can be found here. This application is due by Friday 9/16 at 11:59pm.

From there, we will inform our new team members of their status by the following Monday (9/19). Weekly team meetings (which will start the week that our team is announced!) will be scheduled based on the availability you submit on the application. We hope to see your name on the form!

Any questions can be directed (esharp1@umbc.edu) or our President, Naige (naigec1@umbc.edu).
