    <div class="html-content"><div>The National College Health Assessment (NCHA) is an assessment tool that asks students about their health and well-being behaviors. This information is used across campus to inform health and well-being strategies and programmatic needs. </div><div><br></div><div>This year, UMBC’s NCHA Survey is accepting responses until <strong>Saturday, April 30.</strong> If you have been invited to participate in the survey, you can find the link in an email sent to you from <a href="mailto:ncha-web@acha.org" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">ncha-web@acha.org</a>. </div><div><br></div><div>All students who complete the UMBC NCHA Survey will be entered into a drawing. 200 students will win $10 in Retriever Dollars.     <div class="html-content"><div><br></div><div><p>Airwars is a not-for-profit transparency watchdog which tracks, assesses, archives and investigates civilian harm claims resulting primarily from explosive weapons use in conflict-affected nations including Iraq, Syria, Libya, Somalia and Yemen. We also work with militaries, where practicable, to help improve understanding of civilian harm with the aim of reducing battlefield casualties.</p><p>Founded in 2014, we are today a leading authority on conflict violence as it affects civilian communities. Our international team has monitored more than 30 belligerents across six conflict countries and to date has tracked almost 60,000 locally alleged civilian deaths.</p><p>Headquartered in the UK, Airwars is affiliated with the Department of Media and Communications at Goldsmiths, University of London.     <div class="html-content"><div>The UMBC Cancer Awareness Society is hosting <strong>Relay for Life on Friday, May 6th from 1 to 7 pm</strong> at UMBC in partnership with the Shriver Center, Residential Student Association, UMBC Police, and other campus departments. <strong>We would like to formally invite all POLI students, faculty, staff, and related organizations to join the Political Science Council of Majors' team for the event.</strong> Participants may sign up individually, form their own team, or join an existing team. The registration fee is $15 and participants can sign up at <a href="http://relayforlife.org/umbc" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">relayforlife.org/umbc</a></div><div><br></div><div>Relay for Life is a nationwide event that is used to raise money for cancer research for the American Cancer Society. The event itself is typically overnight with yard games, special ceremonies, and small competitions and games. We relay or walk around the track in support of those who have been impacted by cancer in any way (survivors, caregivers, etc.). The event's slogan is "cancer doesn't sleep so we won't either" so we require one person from each team to stay walking on the track at all hours of the event. Please stop by if you can - <strong>also, <u>boxed lunches will be available on a first come first serve basis.</u></strong> So come early if you want a free lunch!<br></p><p>You don't have to come for the entire time if you have class; please feel free to stop by for some of the time to support your peers and learn about the research that is being done by UMBC students on campus.
