Join us for Crafternoon during Commuter Week on March 4, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Lower Flat Tuesday, a relaxed and welcoming space created especially for commuter students. Stop by between classes to make a craft, enjoy light snacks, and connect with fellow commuters in a casual environment.
No experience is required, and all supplies will be provided. Whether you want to tap into your creative side or simply take a break and spend time in community, Crafternoon is a great way to recharge during your day.

This event is open for full participation by all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or any other protected category under applicable federal law, state law, and the University's nondiscrimination policy.
The ideal Commuter Assistant is a currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate commuter student in good academic standing who is outgoing, approachable, and comfortable engaging with peers. This role is well-suited for someone who is genuinely interested in student engagement, belonging, leadership, and community-building. Successful candidates are reliable, organized, and able to manage responsibilities independently while also collaborating effectively with others.
Strong communication skills are essential, as Commuter Assistants represent and amplify commuter student voices in a thoughtful and professional manner. This position is perfect for students who want to develop their leadership skills while making a meaningful impact on campus.
Time Commitment and Availability:
- 20 hours per week (minimum of 15 hours) with some early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends required
- Mandatory Tuesday availability:
- 7:30 AM – 11:00 AM
- 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Position Duration: August 17, 2026 – May 21, 2027

Good Morning Commuters (GMC) takes place every Tuesday from 8:30–11:00 AM *except one a month when Good afternoon Commuters (GAC) is held* and is complimentary with your Commuter Gold Card.
Gold Cards are a one-time purchase per academic year and can be bought at any GMC event (cash only):
