UMBC GRAs and Post-Doc Present at 106th AMS Meeting The 106th American Meteorological Society (AMS) meeting was held in Houston, TX, January 25-29, 2026. This year, the meeting's theme was "Fast and Slow Thinking: The Human Factor in a Rapidly Changing World." Joshua Richards and Sharad Pandey, both GESTAR II Graduate Research Assistants and members of the Demoz Group (CNMS/UMBC), presented posters at the meeting; Joshua also had the opportunity to showcase his research in an oral presentation at the NOAA booth. Maurice Roots, Ph.D. '25, currently a post-doc with NASA's Postdoctoral Program (NPP) and former member of the Demoz Group, gave an oral presentation.
