We are in greatest need of healthy, non-sugar sweetened cereals, pasta sauce, soups, canned fruit packed in its own juice and canned vegetables.

We can also use hotel and full size toiletries and reuseable grocery bags.

We work in an amazing community.  Thank you to everyone who has donated and to those who are planning to donate.

Canned chicken packed in water
Healthy snacks

Some of our students are skipping meals to pay for books or to pay their rent.  Every single non-perishable food item that is donated makes a huge difference to those who are struggling.

We are hoping departments will host food drives at their holiday parties.

We have a team of student volunteers who will pick up the food from you.

Food can also be dropped off at the RAC (to the left as you walk in), Library (to the right as you walk in), Admin (in front of elevators) and Commons (by reception desk).  Look for the bright yellow box that says Retriever Essentials.

The postcard was sent to all individuals on the State's master payroll file, which includes Graduate Assistants. The State send the notification every year to ensure individuals who may be eligible are on alert to the enrollment period. However, this does not apply to UMBC GAs because we receive our Health Benefits through the university (and Aetna) not the State.
