<Title>Commuter Welcome Day is Back (08/23/2026)</Title>

    <p>Commuter Connections invites all commuter students to Commuter Welcome Day, an event designed to connect commuters and create a sense of belonging at UMBC.</p>
    <p>Date: Saturday, August 23<br>Time: 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Check-in begins at 1:30 PM)<br>Location: University Center Ballroom<br>Admission: Free with RSVP</p>
    <p>The event will feature:</p>
    <ul>
    <li>A panel of current commuter students</li>
    <li>Opportunities to build meaningful connections</li>
    <li>Retriever Fest</li>
    <li>Games, giveaways, and more</li>
    </ul>

<Title>Donate to Retriever Essentials!</Title>

    <p>Dear RE Community,<br><br>Retriever Essentials is an initiative that through the collective (students, staff, and faculty), has continued to address food insecurity in our UMBC community! We as a collective would not be able to do the work we do without donations, as this has been the main source of funding to continue our program. <br>This semester has presented <em>unforeseen challenges</em> as we have seen a greater need for Retriever Essentials, and thus, a lack of food. To put it simply, our shelves are almost bare.<br><br><strong>We welcome, encourage, and need your food &amp; toiletry donations to support those in our UMBC community who need them!</strong><br>- Donate on the Amazon Wishlist here:<a href="https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2W3UX3OVX2IW0?ref_=wl_share" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2W3UX3OVX2IW0?ref_=wl_share</a><br>- Drop off non-perishable food that are not expired in the bins at:</p>
