    <div>Thank You for your decision to become members of this association. The goal is to provide a body with a strong support for its members and a space to enhance our academic, professional and social skills as well as seek for representation at the Graduate Senate.</div>
    <div><br></div>
    <div>The next step is to schedule a meeting to get to know ourselves and ensure that we get recognized by the Graduate Student Association and other important bodies and </div>
    <div><br></div>
    <div>We would all work hand in hand to ensure the organization strives to accomplish its mission and is beneficial to its members.</div>
    <div><br></div>
    <div>Kindly watch out for subsequent emails/posts on the progress of establishing this association and ensuring its recognition as well as a scheduled meeting for us to select principal officials for this body and discuss other important information such as group's logos, meeting dates et al.</div>

    of the Nigerian Graduate Student Association</span></p>

    <p><span>The Nigerian Graduate Student
    Association (NGSA) is an association committed to the intellectual success of
    all Nigerian graduate students at University of Maryland, Baltimore County. It
    is devoted to providing professional and social interactions and support among Nigerian
    graduate students. The NGSA will collaborate with the Graduate Student
    Association and the African Student Association to effectively pursue and achieve
    its goals of providing opportunities and support as well as fostering a sense
    of community for Nigerian Graduate Students through events, collaborative
    projects within and outside the association.</span></p>

    <p><span>Goals</span></p>
    
    <p><span>The
    NGSA committee seeks to accomplish its mission through:</span></p>
    
    <p><span> </span></p>
    
    <p><span>Collaborating
    with the GSA and ASA on social events that foster academic and social events in
    which Nigerian graduate students feel represented and recognized</span></p>
    
    <p><span> </span></p>
    
    <p><span>Provide
    opportunity to interact with each other as well as build a strong support
    system for each other and share job opportunities and resources with each other</span></p>

    <p><span>Getting
    appropriate faculty and staff involved in the achievement of the mission of
    NGSA</span></p>

    <p><span>Ensuring
    that NGSA provides a space available to first-year graduate students moving to
    the US from Nigeria and assist in making their transition a comfortable and
    enjoyable one. This would involve officials of the NGSA and its members

<Title>Seeking Graduate Senators for 2019-2020</Title>
<Tagline>Apply to become a graduate senator today!</Tagline>

    <div>The GSA is seeking applications for senators who will serve 
    throughout the next academic year. Such senators would have the 
    following general responsibilities as they represent either their 
    college or the general interests of all graduate students at UMBC:</div>
    <div><br></div>
    <div>1) Attend monthly meetings of the Graduate Senate between August 2019 and May 2020.</div>
    <div>2)
     Work with other senators to host no fewer than four town halls  between
     August 2019 and May 2020 aimed at gathering input and feedback from 
    graduate students</div>
    <div>3) Serve on at least one university committee</div>
    <div>4) Other tasks as assigned by the Graduate Senate or Executive Council (such as following up on an issue or comment)</div>
    <div><br></div>
    <div>Senators who fulfill these responsibilities will be eligible to receive a stipend of $200 per semester.</div>
    <div><br></div>

    <strong>Member Duties :</strong> The second year CCMA AmeriCorps VISTA will implement the current working operation manual to continue streamlining all Retriever Essentials programming, while updating it to ensure needs are met in the most efficient way possible. They will oversee volunteer recruitment and coordination for daily operations of the food pantry, which include: donation collection, inventory, bag packing, and bag delivery. The CCMA AmeriCorps VISTA will also be tasked with developing a fundraising plan in order to raise money to support Retriever Essentials’ proposal for a permanent pantry space on campus. They will also work to develop collaborative partnerships with departments and student groups, as well as the Retrievers Action Committee, on and off campus to provide programming and events around food justice, healthy eating on a budget, and much more. Additionally, the CCMA AmeriCorps VISTA will create and implement a student-board to help institutionalize Retriever Essentials.</td></tr>
