Come enjoy breakfast and some giveaways as we celebrate our veterans in partnership with Good Morning Commuters.

Relaxation Ahead!

Enjoy a brief massage or acupuncture session on us.  This event does require pre-registration, please use above links or go to the MyUMBC post for this event

A museum heist/kidnaping, a mystery mansion, and a runaway train escape room await- so bring your A Game. This event does require pre-registration, linked here.

Publishing is an indispensable requirement in academia. Many graduate programs encourage their students to publish to obtain an advanced degree, but it is usually at the discretion of the research advisors to guide students through this conundrum.

How do you start the process of writing a publication? What are impact factors and how do you decide if your data is impactful enough to be submitted to a particular publication or journal? How do you get your publication fee covered?

To help students through the publishing conundrum, we invited a STEM faculty panel at UMBC from our COEIT and CNMS colleges to discuss publication-related topics. This event intends to demystify the publishing process, and learn how to overcome perfectionism, time management skills, what is writer's block, and more.

This event is co-hosted by the AOK Library and the Office of Graduate Student Development - PROMISE at UMBC.
