<Tagline>April 4 - Legacy Email Delivery Will Be Stopped</Tagline>

During the past two months there has been an increase in spam to the campus. We use the tool for all of our surveys, most notably the survey attached to the bottom of each resolved RT ticket. This tool was used heavily during the 2012 UMBC campus wide retreat with great success. Recently several faculty from various CAHSS departments expressed an interest in accessing DoIT's pilot of Qualtrics as many of them pay for various online survey tools (e.g. Qualtrics, Surveymonkey, Zoomerang) annually at approximately $500 per faculty member. Unfortunately, DoIT’s license agreement does not allow us to add non-DoIT staff to our instance of Qualtrics.

DoIT is sponsoring a one year pilot for all faculty, staff and students that are part of the CAHSS. We are hopeful the product and its use will produce a compelling business case for the College to continue funding beyond year 1. If there is no interest beyond year one we simply won't renew the contract.
