We are pleased to announce, Open Enrollment rates for the 2021 plan year and the Annual Benefits Guide have been posted on the HR Website.  In addition, please see the Open Enrollment Virtual Resource page for plan resources.  Additional videos and resources will be added as they become available from the State of Maryland.

Open Enrollment for State of Maryland benefits will be online in SPS Workday from October 19 through 5:00 p.m. on November 13, 2020. During this time, employees can enroll in and/or make changes to their health benefits effective January 1, 2021. You will receive alerts during Open Enrollment from the State of Maryland via the SPS Workday system (stateofmaryland@myworkday.com).

Finally, to ensure timely receipt of carrier communications, including membership cards, we encourage employees to login to their myUMBC Profile to ensure your home address is current  (under About, select View More). Address changes can be made in the Payroll Online Service Center (POSC).

We are pleased to announce that this year’s Open Enrollment for State of Maryland benefits will be online in SPS Workday from October 19 through 5:00 p.m. on November 13, 2020. During this time, employees can enroll in and/or make changes to their health benefits effective January 1, 2021. You will receive alerts around Open Enrollment from the State of Maryland via the SPS Workday system (stateofmaryland@myworkday.com).

This year, we will share virtual Open Enrollment resources on the HR Website prior to open enrollment, as they become available from the State of Maryland. Resources will include Open Enrollment videos, virtual information session dates, state wellness information, and links to the 2021 benefits guide and rates.

Prior to the start of Open Enrollment, it is important that employees gain access to SPS Workday using the new OneLogin Process. Instructions can be found here.

The USM Tuition Remission System will open soon for the Winter 2021 & Spring 2021 semesters at UMBC. 

 

If you or your spouse/dependent are enrolling in classes for Winter and/or Spring 2021 at UMBC, please submit your TR application(s) during the timelines listed below:

We are pleased to announce we have migrated the new hire Retirement Selection form into DocuSign. The Retirement Selection form is required when onboarding new regular Exempt and Faculty hires.  Non-Exempt employees are automatically enrolled in the Pension and do not need a Retirement Selection Form.  

Please see the Retirement Selection page on the HR Website for the steps a new hire should take when reviewing and making their retirement plan selection.
