NCI’s Cancer Prevention Fellowship Program (CPFP), a postdoctoral research and leadership training program, is accepting applications. The program is open to researchers, scientists, and clinicians with a demonstrated interest in cancer prevention and control.

Highlights of this multidisciplinary program include:
*The CPFP provides up to 4 years of support *The opportunity to obtain an MPH degree sponsored by NCI (if necessary based on prior training) *Dedicated training to build scientific and leadership skills *A cohort of fellows that spans across STEM and other fields *Competitive stipends, relocation expenses, travel allowances, and more.

Our speakers were winners of the NSF GRFP Fellowship (as graduate students), and now as educators, they have taken their winning method on the road. They have given workshops at Harvard, MIT, UMBC, Howard, the University of Puerto Rico, and other schools, and have collectively assisted students with earning millions of dollars in fellowship award money. Each NSF GRFP Fellowship is worth more than $100,000. Our speakers have helped to produce several winners. You can be one of them!

• This is a special session, concurrent with the NSF LSAMP’s Math Institute. This session is open to all undergraduate students, and first and second-year graduate students.
• Session time: Part I: 11:30 – 1 PM – Applying for the Fellowship.
• Session time: Part II: 2:30 – 3:30 PM – Starting Your Application on Fastlane.
• Lunch with participants from the LSAMP Math Institute will be available to all who choose to stay for Part II.

NFMLTA/MLJ Dissertation Support Grants

• By the application deadline, applicants must have completed all requirements for the Ph.D./Ed.D., except the dissertation.
• Applicants must have an approved dissertation proposal with, if applicable, an approved IRB.
• Applicants must be enrolled in a doctoral program at an institution of higher education in the United States; they need not be citizens or permanent residents.

• Applicant contact information: Name, physical address, e-mail address, name of applicant’s institution of higher education
• Brief statement signed by the dissertation advisor/dissertation committee chair stating that the applicant has: successfully defended his/her dissertation proposal; the IRB process has been cleared (if appropriate to the study); the applicant has successfully completed all but the dissertation writing at the time of application for this grant.
• Proposed dissertation title and a description of the proposed research. The description should include: purpose of the study, theoretical framework(s), research questions, methodology, importance of the study, limitations, use of funding (maximum two pages, single spaced, Times New Roman 12)

It doesn’t matter where you are … you can make progress on that dissertation. You want to  … you NEED to finish that doctorate.
