Hey Retrievers! The UMBC Linux Users Group (LUG) is back for Fall 2025, and we’ve got a lot in store this semester; new projects, events, and opportunities to get involved.

What’s New
  • We’ve launched our own server infrastructure, now running our club website and a package mirror (with more services to come!).
  • After working with Commonvision, we now have a brand-new club logo (stickers coming soon!)

The UMBC Linux Users' Group is still active, and we will be meeting virtually this semester. We've decided that we will be meeting every other Friday, sometime between 2 PM and 5 PM. Each meeting will have an overarching topic or showcase of some kind, but obviously the club is still open to general discussion, as it has been previously. Meetings will take place via Discord, in the official LUG server, which you can join via this link.

We're still deciding on exactly what time our meetings will take place, and because we'd like to accommodate as many people as possible, we'd like your input! There is a poll attached to this post, with options for time slots in which we can host meetings. If you plan on attending our meetings, please vote on which time slots you can attend, or which work best for you. Please log in to see, and vote on, the poll.
