Here's some new stuff we wanted to share with you.</span><div><br></div><div><strong><u><em>Legally Blonde </em>Creative Team</u></strong></div><div><strong><u><br></u></strong></div><div>We are now accepting applications to be a part of the creative team for our spring production of <em>Legally Blonde</em>. This group will include Assistant Director, Vocal Director, Stage Manager (&amp; Assistant), Intimacy Choreographer, and Choreographer. If interested, please fill out this form before <strong>December 12 at 4 PM</strong>. All the information will still be available to everyone, but this will allow other students who aren't already involved to see what is going on. You can also easily scroll back and find other information in a centralized place (rather than getting lost in our busy inboxes).</div><div><br></div><div>Don't fret if you're unsure how to find that. We will give a quick demonstration during our GBM this week. Here's a step by step process to make sure you will continue getting our emails:</div><div><br></div><div>1. Login to myUMBC</div><div>2. At the top, click "Groups."</div><div>3. Scroll down to "Browse Groups" and choose "Arts &amp; Media."</div><div>4. For reference, <em>Legally Blonde </em>is scheduled to run from April 19th - 21st, so the performances should not conflict. These performers will play various animals, as well as other non-human elements as needed.</span></p><br><p><span>About the play</span><span>: </span></p><p><span>Welcome to the Third Annual Slime Crisis Conference! Seven grad students, all fluent in animal languages, linguistics, and culture, join delegates of almost every species to save life on earth from a toxic slime. As they debate and translate for dolphins, seabirds, and polar bears, they ask, "Who is coming to save us?" The answer might surprise you…</span></p><p><span>About the movement: </span></p><p><span>Slime </span><span>will use a combination of contemporary, modern, and inventive movement. There will be pieces that will utilize traditional contemporary and modern dance and others will be pure invented  movement that is dance adjacent to portray animals, water, air, and other non-human aspects of the world. The movement ensemble will be the primary performers dancing. </span></p><br><p><span>Content Disclosure:</span><span> </span></p><p><span>This play includes American Sign Language, invented language, profanity, puppetry, heavy physical and vocal demand, and movement. This play portrays apocalyptic scenarios and circumstances and talks of death. It also includes kissing and embracing. Please note the play references a stylized rape in the last few scenes. I just wanted to take a second to congratulate everyone on the amazing work everybody put into Showcase! The entire Executive Board appreciates everybody's cooperation throughout the week in trying to make this process as smooth as possible. This thank you is extended to all of our cast and crew who helped with this production. We made a whopping $577 in donations over the course of the weekend! This is my first production as president and I'm incredibly proud of everyone' resilience throughout the week! I cannot wait for even more exciting shows soon.</div><div><br></div><div>Be sure to spread the word about auditions for <em>Legally Blonde</em> around before the beginning of next semester!</div><div><br></div><div><strong><u>Showcase Post-Mortem</u></strong></div><div><strong><u><br></u></strong></div><div>I know previously we said that December 1st would be a Post-mortem for the Executive Board, but we decided to change the structure of that to make our last GBM more fun for everyone! Instead, we will be doing the more traditional process of a google form which we will be sending out in a couple of days!<strong><u><br></u></strong><div><br></div><div><strong><u>Movie Pajama Party</u></strong></div><div><strong><u><br></u></strong></div><div>We are hosting a pajama party to celebrate our upcoming production of <em>The Last Five Years</em> TODAY at 7 PM in Harbor MPR. Bring a blanket, comfy PJs, and snacks. There will be a raffle for some winter goodies, so make sure to attend to enter the raffle.
