Dear friends,

With frequent programming and tours now available at the Peale, we are trialling regular opening hours Thurs-Sat from 12-6pm, and 10-4pm on Sundays through May 6th. We’d like to continue to keep the Peale open these hours or as much as possible throughout the year until we close for renovations, but will need help to do so. If you, your students, or friends might be interested in working with us on a volunteer basis to help staff the Peale’s exhibitions and events and to give tours, please let me know and feel free to share my contact information. I will be offering volunteer training this weekend at the Peale between 12-6pm on Saturday and 10am-12pm on Sunday.

Now is the most interesting and impactful time to join the Peale team as we are reinventing the 21st century museum from the ground up. Even an occasional contribution can make a big difference to the Peale and the services we are able to provide to the City’s communities. Everyone’s input is welcome and valued; I hope to hear from you!

Overview: Bartenders provide excellent customer service and sell drinks and snacks to Creative Alliance patrons in our theater bar and Marquee Lounge during performances, private events and other, sometimes offsite, programs. They act as ambassadors for the Creative Alliance and assist Event Managers with event set up and clean up.

Port Discovery Children’s Museum, one of the top Children’s Museum in the United States and a top cultural institution in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, is seeking a STEM Education Specialist. The Specialist will create and implement innovative STEM and health based educational activities, programs, and events for our in-house and outreach museum experiences for visitors and early learners – children aged 2 to 10 years. The successful candidate will be passionate about STEM while igniting creative imaginations, curiosity, and engagement with museum programming.
