The ensemble is adventurous in its programming, with a repertoire that includes graphic-notation pieces, improvisational works, and theatre, as well as works by important early percussion composers, such as Alan Hovhaness, John Cage, and Carlos Chavez. The Ensemble has established a tradition of performing works by UMBC’s faculty and student composers, who sometimes include members of the ensemble.</p>
