Position Summary:
]]>ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW
]]>Under general supervision, the incumbent performs moderately complex accounting clerical or bookkeeping tasks to support accounts payable/receivable and auditing function. Post journal entries, process payments, and verifies accuracy of data.
Specific duties include: inputting data, records and verifies details of financial transactions in ledgers and automated systems; review and process financial documents such as invoices and receipts; purchase of all supply request and receiving of Goods and Services for the Library; inputting and retrieving financial transactions into a shadow system (QuickBooks) for monthly reconciliation and other reports; retrieve and process order from the Accounting and Receiving RT system; back up to the Accounting Associate with picking up paychecks and writing receipts for departments with the Library; and perform other duties as assigned, including serving as back for other staff in the department.
