This intern will gain valuable knowledge and understanding of how various departments function in a non profit environment by working with the Director of Building Operations, Facilities Manager and Senior Lighting Technician to preserve the museum buildings and art collection.

Duties:

The International Center for Photography in New York City worked with Harbers Studio and MediaStorm to produce mini-documentary films on each of the 2018 ICP Infinity awardees, including a 12-minute film on Maurice Berger, research professor and chief curator for the Center for Art, Design and Visual Culture (CADVC).

It is a beautifully made, informative film that does excellent work capturing Berger and his project Race Stories. Watch it online.

Baltimore Center Stage seeks Non-Equity performers for our upcoming production of Tennessee Williams' Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

Roles:

• Children: Caucasian. To play eight years old or younger. Southern accent
• Sookey: African American. Female. Southern accent.

Required Rehearsals will take place every Tuesday - Sunday from Tuesday, August 14th through Thursday, September 20, 2018.

Required Performances will take place from Thursday, September 13th through Sunday, October 7, 2018.

Sookey Salary: $300/week

With frequent programming and tours now available at the Peale, we are trialling regular opening hours Thurs-Sat from 12-6pm, and 10-4pm on Sundays through May 6th. We’d like to continue to keep the Peale open these hours or as much as possible throughout the year until we close for renovations, but will need help to do so. If you, your students, or friends might be interested in working with us on a volunteer basis to help staff the Peale’s exhibitions and events and to give tours, please let me know and feel free to share my contact information. I will be offering volunteer training this weekend at the Peale between 12-6pm on Saturday and 10am-12pm on Sunday.

Now is the most interesting and impactful time to join the Peale team as we are reinventing the 21st century museum from the ground up. Even an occasional contribution can make a big difference to the Peale and the services we are able to provide to the City’s communities. Everyone’s input is welcome and valued; I hope to hear from you!

Applicant should have some experience organizing small student film crews and finding locations on campus (St Paul's School for Girls) for the shooting of short films during the 3 week camp.

The Visitor Services Associate supports the daily operations and frontline experience for all visitors to the Walters across three entrances and throughout the Museum to create a welcoming atmosphere, greet and assist visitors’ with various needs; provide basic information about the museum collection and campus; and resolve routine customer issues and complaints.

The Manager of Visitor Services oversees the daily operations of the frontline experience for all visitors to the Walters, ensuring staff presence in Visitor Information areas across three entrances and throughout the Museum to create a welcoming atmosphere, greet and assist with visitors’ various needs; provide basic information about the museum collection and campus; and resolve routine customer issues and complaints.
