The Rosenbloom Owings Mills JCC Children’s Theatre Program is seeking a Stage Manager for the winter showcase presented at the Gordon Center for Performing Arts. The Stage Manager will work closely with the director to provide organizational and practical support for the production. The ideal candidate will have a background in theatre production and at least 3 years stage management experience.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Collaborating with the director on concepts and design

• Attending production meetings

• Building functional and safe set pieces and props appropriate for this production

• Communicating and training the production team in the best use and movement of each piece.

• Create and/or shop for props

The Rosenbloom Owings Mills JCC Children’s Theatre Program is seeking a Production Assistant for the winter showcase presented at the Gordon Center for Performing Arts. The Production Assistant will work closely with Stage Managemer and assist with the development and execution of production needs. The ideal candidate will have a background in theatre production and ability to maintain a positive work atmosphere. Must be willing to work with children.

The Rosenbloom Owings Mills JCC Children’s Theatre Program is seeking a Musical Director for the winter showcase presented at the Gordon Center for Performing Arts. The Musical Director will be responsible for all of the vocal and instrumental components within the production. The Musical Director must possess the ability to teach young performers ensemble and lead vocal parts and play for rehearsals as well as the performance with a percussionist. Experience working with children is especially important.

The Rosenbloom Owings Mills JCC Children’s Theatre Program is seeking a Dance Captain for the winter showcase presented at the Gordon Center for Performing Arts. The Dance Captain will work closely with the director/choreographer to create multiple numbers appropriate for 1st thru 8th grade performers. The ideal candidate should have experiences teaching both trained dancers and novice. Must have excellent teaching skills and at least 3 years working with children in dance. A background in musical theatre is a plus.

The Rosenbloom Owings Mills JCC Children’s Theatre Program is looking for responsible adults (College students welcome), who work well with children to supervise young performers during the rehearsals and performances of the winter showcase presented at the Gordon Center for Performing Arts. A background in theatre is a plus.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure kids are ready for their cues when it comes time for their scene

• Maintain a balance to ensure kids remain quiet backstage but still have a fun experience

The Rosenbloom Owings Mills JCC Children’s Theatre Program is seeking an Assistant Stage Manager for the winter showcase presented at the Gordon Center for Performing Arts. The Assistant Stage Manager will report to the Stage Manager and assist with all of their production responsibilities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Attend all rehearsals and record blocking

• Ensure the space is ready and everything in place before rehearsals

The ideal candidate is a creative collaborator with strong communication skills and a positive enthusiastic spirit. At least 3 years experience in theater production and arts and education required.
