Administrative Assistant

The Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts (BOPA) seeks a Development Coordinator to support fundraising efforts for Light City Baltimore, a spectacular new annual event featuring light installations, music and an innovation expo (www.lightcitybaltimore.org ). The Coordinator will join the BOPA team immediately, working closely with the Executive Director, Development Director and Campaign Chairs to help keep the fundraising campaign on schedule and progressing with a high level of momentum that engenders a sense of excitement, optimism and confidence in achieving the campaign goal.

The Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development (DBED) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Program Director for Performing Arts within its Division of Tourism, Film and the Arts, Maryland State Arts Council (MSAC). The Program Director of Performing Arts (Dance, Music, and Theater) is responsible for core programs directly related to the agency’s mission to encourage and invest in the advancement of the arts for the people of the state. These programs include MSAC’s Grants for Organizations Program, the Maryland Presenters Network, and the Maryland Touring Artist program. In addition, this position serves as the agency’s designated Accessibility Coordinator.

The Coordinator will join the BOPA team immediately, working with its various departments to stage the inaugural Light City Baltimore in early Spring, 2016. Duties include but are not limited to:

The Chesapeake Shakespeare Company is accepting resumes for part-time contract positions in our growing residency programs in our Education Department. Applicants should have at least an undergraduate degree in theatre, and skills in acting, directing, text analysis, and movement. Stage combat experience a plus!

School Teaching Artists: during the academic year, one/two-week residencies in several counties. Deliver our predetermined curriculum (6-12) that supports Common Core standards.

Tours are on Saturdays at 6:00pm, March - November. Group tours are scheduled for various dates/times.
