The 2023 event included seven finalist teams, which consisted of undergraduate and graduate students from various majors from UMBC.     <h4><span>The University System of Maryland Launch Fund</span></h4>

    <span>The University System of Maryland (USM) Launch Fund connects early stage entrepreneurs - builders, creators, and innovators - to existing resources, mentorship, and capital. It creates a new capital source for USM-affiliated ventures. Applications are due by May 16 for funding for (for-profit or nonprofit) ventures in the form of grants and investments up to $50k.     <h4>Maryland's Climate Tech Pre-Accelerator: Summer 2023</h4>The Maryland Climate Tech Pre-Accelerator is a unique opportunity to test if your climate-tech research and ideas have commercial viability through a startup journey. The exciting agenda of the Pre-Accelerator will have you work on the following elements for your potential venture:<ul>
    <li>Understand if you are personally ready for the startup journey</li>
    <li>Provide a deep understanding of potential target markets for your idea</li>
    <li>Give you an understanding of potential business models to be successful</li>

<Title>ICPSR Short Workshops</Title>
<Tagline>Statistical and Quantitative Methods for Data Analysis</Tagline>

    <span>Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR)</span><span> Summer Program short workshops feature instruction in a specific statistical technique or research method over the period of a week or two. They offer short workshops in a range of topics, including machine learning, mixed methods, causal inference, quantitative methods to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion, and more.</span><div><span><br></span></div>

    <span>For online short workshops, you can participate synchronously via Zoom or watch lecture recordings asynchronously at your convenience. ICPSR also offers several in-person short workshops for those topics that rely on in-person learning and collaboration. In ICPSR short workshops, you’ll have direct access to  exceptional faculty, as well as extended access to lecture recordings and workshop materials until December 31, 2023.</span><span><br></span><div><span><br></span></div>
