This event will be held THIS WEDNESDAY, March 1st from 11-12:30pm in ILSB 101. This will be great time to get feedback on your idea or existing business and find other students that might be interested in helping you as well as learning more about the CBIC.

This is the perfect opportunity for students who want to enter the competition to informally pitch their idea to an audience as a way to receive feedback in a casual, relaxed setting.

If you aren't sure you're ready to submit an idea, that's OK! This event is a great time to get feedback on your preliminary idea or existing business, and to find other students interested in helping you.

It will also give you a chance to learn more about the ABCEI's competitions and events. FREE snacks will be provided.

Dance & Bmore's Youth Program, Voices of Carmen is holding auditions and interviews for talented and enthusiastic youth 14 - 21yrs for their 2023 summer program and production.

Organization Description: Dance & Bmore (DAB) is a Baltimore-based ensemble of musicians, dancers, and theater-makers engaging communities through the arts. DAB programs are multigenerational, engaging youth, families, and senior citizens.

Summary

The Maryland Center for History and Culture (MCHC) seeks an enthusiastic, creative, self-starting project manager to run MCHC’s print and digital publishing projects and other editorial initiatives as assigned. The ideal candidate will be an experienced editor with a passion for museum and scholarly publishing, dedication to detail, and excellent communication and organizational skills.

Workshop with Bob Marshall

Our second event of the semester will be held this Wednesday, February 22nd from 12-1pm in University Center 310!

This event will feature Bob Marshall '88, who is the Co-Founder and CEO of Whisker Labs. During his presentation titled, "Common Mistakes & Pitfalls in Starting a Business", Bob will discuss the multiple phases of any company, from start-up and early funding, to growth and expansion, to exit. Students, faculty, alumni, and members of the business community are welcome to attend! FREE snacks will be provided!

CBIC Submission Form is NOW AVAILABLE! 

The Alex. Brown Center's Cangialosi Business Innovation Competition (CBIC) is an opportunity for UMBC students who are serious about starting a business or social impact venture to pitch their idea to a panel of judges to win money to help launch their venture. The CBIC submission form is now available on our website. We can't wait to hear your ideas! The deadline for submission is March 6th at 1pm.
