Overview:The Visual Arts Program Curator is responsible for supporting regional artists and art enthusiasts in our community. The manager curates two gallery spaces, recruits, supports, and manages artists in residence, and coordinates adult art education classes with artists from all departments.

The Baltimore Collegetown Network, a non-profit consortium of 14 area colleges and universities, develops projects and partnerships that attract, engage, and retain students, raise the profile of Baltimore as a college destination, and help colleges share resources.

This April, the Baltimore Office of Promotions & The Arts (BOPA) will present a major new work by internationally-acclaimed artist Cai Guo-Qiang. Light City is pleased to feature Fireflies, an interactive public artwork as a special addition to this year's BGE Light Art Walk. Curated by Lance M. Fung of Fung Collaboratives, Fireflies is comprised of 27 illuminated kinetic sculptures. Over 900 handmade lanterns are attached to the top of 27 working pedicabs that festival goers may ride.

The Walters Art Museum has an immediate need for an Imaging and Rights Coordinator within the Department of Imaging and Intellectual Property, Art and Program Division.

Responsibilities:

□ Serve as the first point of contact for digital resource inquiries, process all imaging requests and fulfill when able.

□ Assist with digitization of tangible assets (slides, negatives, prints, transparencies and other film) and metadata processing.

Reporting to the Manager of Information Technology, the Database Coordinator primarily designs, implements, administers, maintains and evaluates the Walters Art Museum’s databases and provides the primary desktop and software-related technical support for problem resolution. When needed, the Database Coordinator provides technical support to the Head of Imaging and Intellectual Property with regard to ResourceSpace (data asset management system) and to the Assistant Registrar for Data and Images with regard to TMS (the collection management system).

The Walters Art Museum in Baltimore, MD, seeks a strategic, visionary, and energetic professional to lead the museum’s Marketing & Communications department. In 2016, the museum launched an ambitious new strategic plan. To energize its audiences and reflect this new vision, the Marketing and Communications team created a new brand identity and website that will launch in spring 2018.

The BSO’s marketing department promotes the world-class Baltimore Symphony Orchestra both in the Baltimore and DC metro areas. The BSO presents nearly 130 concerts throughout the season across a diverse range of programming including Classical, SuperPops, Movies with Orchestra, Family and mid-week education concerts.
