The Digital Imaging Specialist is responsible for all digitization projects in the studio with a focus on archive grade digitization of 2D materials. This person must have previous professional experience using scanning equipment, a strong knowledge of digital photography, film based imagery, industry standard formatting, and digital workflow. This technical position is a skills-based job focused on the production of digital images for individual photographers, artists, foundations, as well as other non-profit and corporate organizations. A high level of organization is required.

Maryland Humanities, a nonprofit organization based in Baltimore that serves the state with free public humanities programs, seeks a Program Assistant. The Program Assistant provides assistance to the Program Officer responsible for a set of programs in order to provide program support and general administrative support.

The Walters Art Museum, situated in the historic Mt. The Maryland Historical Society has an opening for a full-time Digital Education Manager. Over the past three years, the MdHS has introduced a thriving distance learning program, as well as an interactive online history curriculum that has been adopted by 16 of Maryland’s 24 school systems. We are fully committed to expanding digital offerings in the immediate future, including interactive digital gallery tours, increased of integration of technology into exhibitions, and streaming of lectures.

The Maryland Historical Society (MdHS), a museum and library in Baltimore, is recruiting volunteer docents to deliver interactive tours and programs for student and adult groups. We are seeking candidates who have an interest in history, enjoy working with the public, and feel comfortable speaking to groups. Training on MdHS collections, exhibitions, tour methodology and themes, and museum policies will be provided. Volunteers are scheduled as needed upon mutual agreement with MdHS staff for the following:
