Position Description

The Social Media/Website Coordinator for the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts (BOPA) is a regular, full-time non-exempt position, reporting to the Communications Director, and is a member of the Communications Team. The primary responsibility is to coordinate and maintain the social media, marketing and internet initiatives for BOPA.

The Marketing and Media Relations Manager works closely with the Director of Marketing to create and implement strategies to sell, market, promote and publicize the theatre, the season and individual shows.

The Marketing and Media Relations Manager puts big picture goals into motion during the day-to-day by guiding others members of the Marketing team. This person is a storyteller who is able to think outside of the box to create different ideas and strategies to meet goals and solve problems.

Position Profile

BYA is currently hiring for Winter, and Spring quarters. We are seeking facilitators for visual, writing, and performance classes at one or more of our four teaching sites (the Baltimore City Juvenile Justice Center, The BYA Community Studio, Thomas JS Waxter Children's Center, and the Lillian S. Jones Recreation Center). We are interested in building our community of artists to expand program offerings and engage youth with varied interests.

We are looking for confident, social, take-charge person to manage our facility and its staff during events. Event managers are responsible for setting the house, accounting for banks, managing bar and door staff, interacting with guests, and closing the facility. The right person will be great at seeing the big picture while paying attention to details.
