General Summary of the Job

Reporting to the Director of External Affairs, the Communications Manager will develop, guide, and implement the strategy for all communications, website, and public relations messaging and collateral to consistently articulate the Reginald F. Lewis Museum (RFLM) as the premiere experience and best resource for information and inspiration about the lives of African American Marylanders. The Communications Manager will ensure that RFLM is viewed as the primary source, disseminator, and conduit of this information throughout a diverse constituent base and network.

Port Discovery Children’s Museum seeks an Associate Director of Educational Programming to oversee the management and delivery of innovative educational experiences.

The Maryland Historical Society seeks a full-time Digital Collections and Metadata Librarian. The position is responsible for providing leadership in the development, implementation, and assessment of metadata infrastructure, policies, and procedures to support discovery, access, management, and preservation of the Library collections. They will play a key role as the administrative owner of the Library’s and Museum’s digital asset management and preservation system.

The Maryland Historical Society seeks a full-time Associate Registrar for a three year period to assist the Director of Collections and the entire Museum Department to complete day-to-day registrarial tasks as well as assist in a large collection move. Responsibilities

The Walters Art Museum has an immediate part time opening for a Part Time Relief Gallery Officer to work from Wednesday thru Sunday from 11:00am to 3:30pm in the Security Department. The incumbent will have responsibility for providing security for the Museum’s collection and Special Exhibitions by patrolling the galleries as assigned. Reporting to the Dayshift Gallery Supervisor, the individual will have the following responsibilities:

Reporting to the Head of Imaging and Intellectual Property, the Digital Imaging Specialist supports the creation of digital assets using multiple strategies and driven by institutional strategic priorities. The Digital Imaging Specialist operates the mobile photography setup, photographing all gallery installations, rotations, focus shows and special exhibitions.
