Executive Director, Queen Anne’s County Arts Council (QACAC)

Reporting to the Board of Directors the Executive Director (ED) will have overall strategic and

operational responsibility for the QACAC’s Centre for the Arts. The ED is responsible to expand

local revenue generating and fundraising activities; support and expand programs and

operations; maintain and expand web and media presence; and maintain and build

partnerships with local government and businesses.

The Baltimore School for the Arts seeks a highly motivated Program Manager to provide computer and organizational assistance to the Music Department. The successful candidate will have excellent computer skills, good time management, and work well with a wide variety of people. The Program manager is responsible for purchasing, record-keeping, scheduling, and many other daily operational duties. This person assists the Music Deparment head in organizing the instructional and performance programs in the school. The Program manager will also assist in performance productions.

The Walters Art Museum seeks to hire a curator to oversee its collection of approximately 1800 objects primarily from Europe and the Mediterranean basin as well as related works from Russia and Ethiopia. The Walters' collection of medieval art contains works in a range of media, including painting, metalwork, sculpture, ivories, and enamels. The curator supervises an assistant curator of Manuscripts and Rare Books, who oversees the Walters' collection of over 900 illuminated manuscripts, 1,200 early printed books and over 1,300 rare books.

The Walters Art Museum seeks to hire a curator at the Associate Curator or Curator level to oversee a collection of approximately 600 objects from South, Central, and Meso-America, dating from 1200 BCE to 1500 CE. Highlights of the collection include nearly one hundred gold artifacts from the Chiriqui region of western Panama and northern Colombia, collected by Henry Walters in 1910-11; exceptional work in silver, jade, shell, and bone; and textiles and ceramics from the Olmec and Maya cultures, and from Andean South America.
