The Maryland Historical Society (MdHS) is seeking a creative and energetic Grants Manager to join our fast-paced team. The Grants Manager carries out an aggressive plan to identify, solicit, manage and maintain support from public and private funders. Sources include state and local government agencies and private and corporate foundations. The position works closely with the program and finance departments to develop content and reports for a wide range of grant programs.

The Group Sales & Private Events Manager is responsible for the organization and management of all aspects of facility rentals and private events at the Maryland Historical Society, as well as actively marketing and booking group sales through bus companies and other travel organizations. This position requires both sales experience and event management skills. Advanced knowledge of event planning and experience in hospitality, customer service, and/or visitor services is required. Additionally, strong writing, organization, and communication skills are critical.

Port Discovery Children’s Museum seeks an Exhibit Technician to assist with the design and fabrication of new exhibits and in the routine maintenance of existing exhibits. Responsibilities include construction and routine maintenance of all museum exhibits, general repair of exhibit activities, components and areas and cosmetic repairs, control systems, plumbing and light electrical work of the facility and grounds. Must know and adhere to safety protocol in handling machinery, electrical equipment and power tools.

For its term of two years (with the possibility of renewal for a third year), the fellowship will provide curatorial training and support scholarly research related to the collections of the Walters. Widely regarded as one of the finest museums in the United States, the Walters possesses an encyclopedic collection of eastern and western art.

Port Discovery Children's Museum provides experiences that ignite imagination, inspire learning, and nurture growth through play. We are currently looking for a talented, friendly, and experienced Exhibit Development Coordinator. This is a part time position offering approximately 29 hours per week. Work schedule for this position is flexible, but may be adjusted according to department or Museum needs. Participation in special events, evenings, weekends, and holiday may be necessary.
