MAP offers internships for upper-level college students, graduate students, and recent graduates. Fall, Spring, and Summer Internships are available. MAP hours: 11 am-4 pm, Monday - Saturday.

Interns are responsible for assisting MAP in a variety of ways, ranging from programming to administration, with opportunities for special projects depending on skills and professional interest. Intern duties include: performing research; assisting with gallery preparation and installation; photo/video documentation, coordinating events, gallery sitting, social media and community outreach.

The Chesapeake Arts Center (CAC), located in Brooklyn Park, MD, is seeking a dynamic, hands-on MakerSpace Manager to spearhead the operations of the Center’s Michael Stanley MakerSpace. The Makerspace integrates STEM and the ARTS by providing an environment that supports the development of skill sets that use both conventional and digital machinery, hand and power tools, and computer technology to facilitate both workforce development and artistic initiatives. The Makerspace serves a diverse population of users, from children to adults, and beginners to experienced makers.

Art Handler/Driver is responsible for the careful loading, unloading, wrapping and transport of artwork between our three fast paced art galleries and frame shop. Other responsibilities include packing and unpacking crates, receiving art and frame moulding shipments and recording in our database.

Successful candidates must be motivated and responsible, have an excellent/clean driving record and be able to pass D.O.T. medical exam. Carpentry skills are a plus.
