Did you earn less than $54,000 in 2017? If you did, why waste your money on paid tax preparers when you can get your taxes done for free by IRS-trained and certified volunteers from VITA@UMBC?  Make an appointment at bmorefreetaxes.org or by calling 410-234-8008.  Just ask to be scheduled with UMBC and you’ll meet with UMBC volunteers at the Apartment Community Center across from Walker Garage.

Some of our students are skipping meals to pay for books or to pay their rent.  Every single non-perishable food item that is donated makes a huge difference to those who are struggling.

We are hoping departments will host food drives at their holiday parties.

We have a team of student volunteers who will pick up the food from you.

Food can also be dropped off at the RAC (to the left as you walk in), Library (to the right as you walk in), Admin (in front of elevators) and Commons (by reception desk).  Look for the bright yellow box that says Retriever Essentials.
