All new projects will continue to be keyed and set up as received.  Once entered into the PS tree, new projects will be available for non-payroll expenditures the following day.  As soon as HR codes become available we will pass that along.

Now that Kuali is implemented, we will begin sight logic for new projects (those projects not routed through PS and assigned a previous 8 digit numerical project number).  New project numbers will now be alpha-numeric (still 8 characters).   Sight logic will include a 3 or 4 letter sponsor identifier (for example NASA, MDH, NSF) followed by a 4 or 5 digit number. 

We hope you will find this change beneficial (we are excited about this one in OCGA)!

ENGR 023 is a larger space which has allowed us to increase the participant size to 25.  If you were not able to sign up for any remaining classes, and are still interested, please register soon as available slots fill quickly.

As a reminder if you are unable to attend a class for which you have registered, please release your available slot by clicking the "I cannot attend" button on the event page.  This allows others to register.

Once we get through the initial set of classes, we will re-evaluate the modules and then begin to re-offer on a monthly basis (with the Sponsored Award Overview class beginning Fall 2018).

If you have not certified your Effort Report(s), Please make the time in the upcoming days to review and certify your Fall 2017 Effort Report(s).

This is a reminder that Effort Reports for Fall 2017 are available and ready for certification. The Fall 2017 period includes Payroll 2018001 through Payroll 2018014 (from June 25, 2017, through January 06, 2018). Please be advised that the certification due date has been accelerated in an effort to properly prepare for the upcoming PeopleSoft System Upgrade. Therefore, the Fall 2017 Effort Report Certifications are due February 28, 2018.

Please remember that Effort Reports are both a Compliance Tool and a Grants Management Tool. Please review the current payroll charges and process any required payroll transfers (Retro's) prior to certification of the Effort Report.

I have attached the Effort Report Quick Reference Guide with screen shots for your convenience. This guide provides instructions on how to access the Effort Reports. If you experience problems with access, PeopleSoft security or system issues, please contact me immediately. In addition, Effort Report training is available upon request and can be provided at your location...please contact me to schedule training or if you need assistance.
